Scotti was born upstairs above a church. True to this divine sense of time and place, she has been singing all of her life. But it wasn't until 1998 when her voice was heard on stage outside the church walls.
Scotti's first professional gig was as a background vocalist for Zakiya Hooker at the Filmore in San Francisco. She then went on to front a rock band led by John Brown, which evolved into a Bass and Vocal duo called "Pamanjon". In 2000, Scotti embraced the adventure of unknown changes by selling all of her possessions and relocating to Heidelberg, Germany. There, she performed with many European bands; some for which she sang as lead vocalist. She performed in Italy, Denmark, Germany, and England. After two years, Scotti returned to the United States and almost immediately left again for Vancouver, Canada where she and John Brown once again performed as a duo. In 2003 "Pamanjon" began recording songs with the Bass and Vocal style of their live performances. Unable to capture the spirit and clarity in sound that the pair searched for after completing their initial sessions, they ultimately began adding other instruments to the ensemble that gave life to the music on the 2005 release, Paradise. |
